Voltme Revo 140W PD3.1 GaN Charger Review

A reliable power brick is a must-have. Although many devices like laptops and Chromebooks come with wall chargers and USB cables, most modern phones don’t. Additionally, most laptop chargers are pretty bulky, and a third-party power brick typically offers multi-device support. The Voltme Revo 140 is an outstanding power brick. Despite its small size, this nifty wall charger features a massive 140W maximum power output, three USB ports, and fast charging. Learn why the Voltme Revo 140 deserves space in your bag in our hands-on review!

Voltme Revo 140 Review Verdict

Voltme Revo 140 Review

The Voltme Revo 140 is an exceptional charging brick. I was impressed with its modest size and foldable plug design, which makes it extremely compact for saving space in backpacks or purses. There are three USB ports for multi-device charging: Two USB-C jacks and a full-size USB Type-A. Its 140W total power output means the Voltme can juice up even larger devices such as a MacBook Pro.

Voltme 140 Review

With the Voltme 140W wall charger, I was able to charge Android phones, a Chromebook, MacBook Pro, a Nintendo Switch, and a Lenovo ThinkPad T15 Windows laptop using Voltme’s 3.3-foot USB-C 100W power cable. Smaller devices such as headphones, earbuds, and game controllers recharge without issue. Supported devices even allow for fast charging, which I appreciated on my OnePlus 10 Pro. You can rejuvenate a 16-inch screen MacBook Pro to 56% battery capacity in merely 30 minutes using the full 140W power delivery (PD).

VOLTME 140W USB C Charger Review

In my testing, I was impressed that I could charge up two laptops and a phone simultaneously. On a trip to Charleston, South Carolina in March 2023, I was able to simply toss the Voltme Revo 140W in my backpack which juiced up my phone, headphones, Chromebook, and Windows laptop. It saved a lot of space compared to the bulky laptop charger I’d have otherwise needed to lug around.

VOLTME 140W USB C Charger Review

Because it’s a Gallium Nitride or GaN III charger, the Voltme 140W power brick boasts up to three times the efficiency and 40% energy savings when compared to non-GaN 3 power bricks. There’s also onboard surge protection, so you don’t have to worry when charging expensive gadgets like laptops.

The Voltme Revo 140W ticks a lot of boxes. I liked its balance of portability, power delivery, multi-device charging. Although its logo lights up to show that the Voltme is plugged in, there’s no built-in charging indicator to tell you how much power is being delivered. Unlike my EZQuest UltimatePower 120W GaN USB-C PD Wall Charger, the Voltme doesn’t come with any accessories like a USB cable or travel adapter. Still, most folks won’t need those features, and you can always just snag a USB cable with an onboard LED charging display. Ultimately, if you need a compact power brick that works with everything from laptops and phones to earbuds, the Voltme Revo is an excellent option.

Using the Voltme’s USB-C 3.1 Power Delivery (PD) port provides the best possible charging capabilities at a full 140W. While the Voltme is rated for 140W of power delivery, that’s it’s overall capacity. And only one of its three USB ports offers the full Wattage throughput, its USB-C PD3.1 port. Its second USB-C port is PD3.0 and limited to a still generous 100W, while the USB-A with quick-charge 3.0 clocks in at 22.5W.

With multi-device charging, its 140 Watts gets distributed between the various ports. For instance, while juicing up my Acer Spin 713 Chromebook with the USB PD3.1 port and nothing else plugged in, I enjoyed the full 140W. But upon plugging in a Lenovo T15 Windows laptop to the USB PD3.0 port with a 100W max power output, both devices split the total wattage with 65W apiece. Utilizing all three ports means you’ll get 65W from the PD3.1 USB-C, 45W out of the PD3.0 USB-C, and 22.5W over its USB Type-A. Even with a trio of devices plugged into the Voltme, I was still able to juice up a pair of laptops and a phone.

Recommended Voltme Accessories - USB-C 3.3-foot 100W cable

If you’re like me, chances are you’ve got a spaghetti mess of assorted charging cables including several proprietary chargers that you’ll never need until just after you get rid of them. However, a high-quality charging cable is never a bad pick up. For my testing, I used Voltme’s 3.3-foot 100W USB-C cable. It’s a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable that’s 3.3 feet long and offers up to 100W of power delivery. Alternatively, you can step up to a 6-foot long power cable. So long as you don’t need as much juice, there are also 3.3-foot and 6-foot long 60W USB-C cables. In my experience, Voltme’s USB-C cables are well constructed, and I liked that they came in several colors, including black, blue, green, white, and grey.

Voltme Revo 140W GaN 3 Wall Charger Review: Final Thoughts

Overall, the Voltme 140W power brick is a fantastic addition that works flawlessly with laptops, phones, tablets, and a bevy of other electronics. It’s small, compact, and lightweight, yet doesn’t skimp on power delivery. Despite its portability, the Voltme can charge up to two laptops and a phone simultaneously. Moreover, it can fast charge even power-hungry MacBooks from a dead battery to full capacity in under two hours. If you’re looking for a reliable power brick that can replace your laptop’s power charger, the Voltme is an outstanding option.
