And while a Switch, handheld PC, or gaming laptop lets you play on the go, a phone is even more portable. The Infinix GT 10 Pro is a powerful Android gaming phone. Boasting a beefy Dimensity 8050 processor, dual SIM card support, and even a microSD card, the GT 10 Pro is a great handset for playing mobile games as well as emulation. Infinix GT 10 Pro Review Verdict: The Best Value Gaming Phone on the Market

The Infinix GT 10 Pro truly lives up to the Pro in its name. As an Android gaming phone, the GT 10 Pro fittingly packs a powerful Dimensity 8050 gaming processor at its core. Because of its beefy Dimensity 8050 6nm 5G chip, I was able to run even demanding mobile games with ease.

Native Android gaming worked flawlessly with titles including Diablo Immortal, Genshin Impact, Grand Theft Auto III, and Batman the Telltale Series. Less demanding games such as Broken Sword or Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery ran like a champ.

Retro gaming was a ton of fun. I installed emulators like RetroArch and PPSSPP, and was able to play more processor-intensive newer games from systems such as the PlayStation Portable (PSP), GameCube, and Nintendo 64 (N64).

Cloud gaming was an absolute breeze (pun fully intended). Since cloud game streaming doesn’t tax your device at all and only relies on a strong internet connection, even budget smartphones such as my OnePlus Nord N200 can handle it. Still, I had a blast romping through Halo on Xbox Game Pass, Control on Amazon Luna, and Life is Strange in Nvidia GeForce Now (GFN).

Outside of gaming, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is a solid daily driver. I appreciated the dual SIM support, which let me use two SIM cards simultaneously. As such, I could have a personal and work SIM inserted at once.

There’s also a microSD card slot, which I found particularly useful for gaming. Since mobile games can be pretty large in size, I utilized the extra storage expansion by popping in a 1TB microSD card, thereby enjoying plenty of space to download games, load ROMs, or even put music.

The cameras are great–I liked the photo and video quality using the 108MP (megapixel) primary camera. You also get a 2MP macro shooter for close-ups and a 2MP depth sensor. In front, there’s a 32MP camera that snaps solid selfies.

I was able to get great battery life, plus the GT 10 Pro juices up extremely fast. Disappointingly, there’s no Qi wireless charging, but blazing-fast wired charging makes up for this. You’ll even find a 3.5mm headphone jack, virtually a rarity on most modern handsets.

As a gaming phone, the Infinix GT 10 Pro does sport a gaudy cyberpunk design that isn’t for everyone. If you can put up with this, you’ll benefit from a high-performing device at a reasonable price that doesn’t skimp on quality-of-life features such as camera or battery life.

Infinix GT 10 Pro Design and Build

The Infinix GT 10 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED display that goes up to 120Hz. It measures 162.7 x 75.9 x 8.1 mm (6.41 x 2.99 x 0.32 in) and weighs 187 g (6.60 oz). Despite its large footprint, the GT 10 Pro isn’t so heavy that it’ll require a belt or turn your purse into mjolnir.

On the left-hand side of the unit, you’ll find a dual SIM card tray that also holds a microSD card.

The right side of the handset features a volume rocker and power button.

On the bottom of the phone, there’s a USB-C connector, headphone jack, and one of the stereo speakers.

The top bezel has an earpiece that does double duty as one of the stereo speakers.

A hole punch selfie camera is in front, with a rear-facing triple camera array complete with LED flash. Integrated into the screen is a fingerprint reader that I found responsive.

Infinix GT 10 Pro Gaming Performance

As a gaming phone, the Infinix GT 10 Pro doesn’t disappoint. Demanding games like Diablo Immortal and Genshin Impact or CoD Mobile run buttery smooth without any stutters. In particular, I appreciated the color pop from its big, bright, beautiful display.

Older native Android games run like a champ. I fired up Grand Theft Auto III, Max Payne, Broken Sword, and Batman: The Telltale Series. The Infinix didn’t bat an eye.

On the emulation side, more demanding newer games presented no issue. I was easily able to play PlayStation Portable titles including God of War: Chains of Olympus and Nintendo 64 games like Goldeneye 007.

Game streaming, which works well even on budget phones like the OnePlus Nord N200 since it relies on your internet connection rather than processing power, is solid on the GT 10 Pro. I played Halo on Xbox Game Pass, streamed Spider-Man Remastered on PS Remote Play, Life is Strange on NVIDIA GeForce Now, and XXX on Steam Link. For cloud gaming or in-home game streaming, the Infinix is a fantastic choice.

Infinix GT 10 Pro Camera Quality

I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality of the Infinix GT 10 Pro’s camera. Its primary camera system centers around a 108MP main shooter aided by a pair of 2MP macro and depth sensors. Photos come out looking great under normal lighting conditions with natural-looking colors.

An AI (artificial intelligence) mode helps the camera app recognize different settings which mostly results in photos with increased color saturation. There is a 2x digital zoom which helps when capturing far away subjects, with a slight ding to image quality.

Portrait mode does a nice job capturing faces with increased detail and a great bokeh effect. Night shots are pretty good, with a little washed-out detail in the dark that isn’t too bad. Its Super Night brightens the entire image without being overblown.

Infinix GT 10 Pro Battery and Charging

There’s a 5000mAh battery which lasts quite a while. I logged over 100 hours of normal use before needing to juice back up. There’s 45W charging which replenishes the GT 10 Pro in around an hour, with just 30 minutes plugged in to get the device back to over 70% battery capacity. I liked its all-day battery life which meant I was able to stream De La Soul albums on Tidal, use Google Maps for navigational directions, play Hitman on NVIDIA GeForce Now, and watch “Everything Sucks” on Netflix on my phone, all without needing to plug in my Einova power bank or bust out my Voltme Revo 140 wall charger.

The Infinix GT 10 Pro boasts 5G support, which is great for browsing the web, checking your email, streaming Taylor Swift albums on Spotify, cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass, and downloading games on the go. In my testing, it worked really well on both T-Mobile’s and AT&T’s networks. I received strong 5G signals without a problem.

At home, the Wi-Fi 6 support proved snappy on my Google Fiber-powered wireless network. Whether you’re at home or on the go, the Infinix GT 10 Pro will keep you connected to the internet. Infinix GT 10 Pro Android Gaming Phone Review: Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is an exceptional value gaming phone. It gives you a big fast refresh rate display, long-lasting battery, and beefy processor. Amenities like a dual SIM card slot, headphone jack, and neat accessories such as a screen protector as well as a case make the Infinix GT 10 Pro a fantastic handset. Whether you want to play the latest Android games, cloud game stream, or emulate retro game ROMs, the GT 10 Pro is more than up to the challenge.

I’d have liked video out support for playing on a TV, monitor, or projector–but admittedly, that’s a pretty niche feature. Similarly, Qi wireless charging would be handy, although its blazing-fast wired charging makes up for that missing feature. On the whole, the GT 10 Pro is a wallet-friendly handset for gaming or use as a daily driver.
