The Roidmi Eve Plus is an attractive robot vacuum. It sports an almost entirely white exterior that looks sleek and refined. With a whopping 2700pa (Pascal Pressure Units) of suction power, the Eve Plus can clean deep carpets. For reference, 2,000pa is enough to pick up a set of AA batteries. A brushless motor provides powerful suction, while its long-lasting 5200mAh battery can go a while between recharges.

Onboard, the Roidmi robo vac features a big 300ml dust capacity. The included dust bin adds a further 3L of space. In addition to its vacuuming capabilities, the Eve Plus includes a mop mode for washing hard floors. A dust collection base station comes bundled. The dust collection station adds a hands-free experience for a vacuum that empties itself and self-sterilizes. Once the base station fills up, simply empty the smart dust collection bin into the trash.

There’s mobile app control and several smart home integrations. Roidmi Robo Vac Performance Review – Suction, Obstacle Avoidance, and More

The Roidmi Eve Plus robo vac is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It features excellent build quality and a variety of nifty features. A dust bin docking station combo charges the unit while offering automatic vacuum dust bin emptying. There’s a mop mode in addition to the vacuum. Advanced LiDAR light detection and ranging offers top-notch remote sensing capabilities for excellent room mapping and obstacle avoidance.

I intentionally left a few items strewn across my floor such as a power cord and a pair of shoes. To my delight, the Eve Plus successfully navigated around obstacles in its path. Battery life is long-lasting thanks to its 5200mAh battery. I was able to clean my entire apartment with ample battery life to spare. For multi-floor homes, the Roidmi can handle map multiple levels, although it can’t traverse stairs. You’ll need to move it from floor to floor.

Suction is great. With 2700pa of suction, the Roidmi robot vac cleaned both my thick rugs and hardwood floors extremely well. It even manages to pick up pet hair. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like the dust bin was quite when compared with my Dreame Bot L10 Pro robot vac with its 4000pa suction. Nevertheless, the discrepancy is minor, and the Eve Plus does an incredible job. Impressively, Roidmi offers replacement parts including disposable wipes, vacuum filters, side brushes, dust bin bags, a roller brush, a mop attachment, and water tank. As such, if part of your robo vac breaks, you can easily fix it yourself.

I found the companion Roidmi app easy to use. What’s more, functionality with the Mi Home app was a total treat and allowed me to use the Mi Home Android app to control both my Roidmi Eve Plus and Dreame L10 Pro. Furthermore, the Roidmi works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for smart home automation and control.

Roidmi Robo Vac Design and Build Quality

The Roidmi Eve Plus looks magnificent. Its white exterior is clean and modern. Around the edges, you’ll find bumper guards for protecting the unit alongside obstacle detection sensors. On top, there’s a protruding LDS laser radar navigation sensor for precise navigation. A few built-in buttons provide basic on-device controls as well as status indicators.

Eve Plus Smart Dust Collection – A Self-emptying Robot Vacuum Cleaner

One of the standout features of the Roidmi Eve Plus robotic vacuum cleaner is its dust collection bin. The Eve Plus has its own dock that doubles as a charger and a dust collector for self-sterilization. When the Roidmi robo vac docks, its self-emptying bin automatically removes any dirt that it’s picked up.

Built into the Roidmi dust collection is a great suction system comprised of a 379mm ultra-short air duct and a 750mm long air duct. In conjunction, the suction system extracts dirt, dust, and sediment picked up by the Eve Plus. This is then automatically deposited in a disposable bag. When the bag fills up, simply throw it in your garbage and dispose of it with the rest of your waste. This novel hands-free experience lets you use the Roidmi robot vacuum several times before needing to take out its dust bag. The automatic bagging process works well. I noticed absolutely no leaking, which helps your home remain dust-free.

Mopping With the Roidmi Vacuum

In addition to its vacuum suction capabilities, the Roidmi Eve Plus includes a mop feature. Swap out its dust bin for a water tank and install the mopping pad underneath. It works pretty well. Unfortunately, the robot itself isn’t smart enough to detect hard floors versus carpet. Therefore, you’ll need to manually select no-go zones in one of the companion apps. Still, in my tests the mop mode on the Eve Plus worked great.

Compatible Companion Apps for the Roidmi Eve Plus – Roidmi App, Mi Home App, and More

The Roidmi Eve Plus works flawlessly with the Roidmi app. Additionally, it’s compatible with the Mi Home app. I enjoyed being able to sync the Eve Plus with the Mi Home app which allowed me to control both the Eve Plus my Dreame Bot L10 Pro robo vacs from one single mobile app.

Additionally, the Roidmi functions with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can configure different smart home automations such as using voice commands to start cleaning.

Should You Buy the Roidmi Eve Plus Robo Vac?

If you’re in the market for a high-quality automatic vacuum, the Roidmi Eve Plus is a fantastic choice. It’s well constructed, serves as a mop and vacuum, and cleans thoroughly. LiDAR offers accurate mapping as well as precise obstacle avoidance. Roidmi sells replacement parts so if you need additional components, they’re easy to find.

A self-emptying dust bin sucks dust out of the Eve Plus and into a disposable, leak-free bag. Thus, the Roidmi robo vac is pretty maintenance-free. Not only will it clean your house for you, but it’ll even empty itself out, leaving you to take out the dust bag after several cleanings.

Suction is strong which lets the Roidmi pick up even fine pet hair and grit. There are several companion apps to pick from, and Alexa alongside Google Assistant integration allows for smart home control.

Disappointingly, the automatic vacuum can’t differentiate between hard floors and carpets, so you’ll have to use the app to designate mopping areas. Suction isn’t quite as strong as some robo vacs like the Dreame L10 Pro though it is better than the Roomba i3. My Roidmi robotic vacuum came with the European plug which should be fine for many users, although if, like me, you’re in North America, you’ll need a plug adapter. Using a converter, the Roidmi worked just fine or a standard 110V plug replacement works too.

But the Eve Plus managed to clean extremely well nonetheless. Sporting an automatic dirt removal base docking station like the Roomba i3+, the Roidmi is a phenomenal value that’s convenient, cleans well, and delivers a slew of smart home integrations. It features more powerful suction and many of the same features as Roomba’s popular i3+, all at a more affordable price point.

Roidmi Eve Plus Robo Vac Review – Final Thoughts

In my testing, I was blown away by the Roidmi Eve Plus. The self-emptying base is a handy inclusion. Suction is fantastic, and a mopping mode makes it a versatile robo vac. There’s not quite as much suction as on some competitor vacuums, although with its smart home control and hands-free dust bin, the Eve Plus is a budget automatic vacuum that punches well above its weight class.
