Mixcder E10 Review – Affordable, Rock Solid ANC Wireless Headphones

Noise-canceling headphones don’t have to be expensive. And budget ANC cans don’t need to make compromises. The Mixcder E10 balances affordability and performance for what might be the best wireless active noise-canceling headphones on the market. Outfitted with active noise cancellation (ANC), these wireless Bluetooth headphones boast superb value. In fact, they’re probably the best budget ANC headphones money can buy.

Mixcder E10 Build Quality and Specs

The Mixcder E10 rocks active noise cancellation. A wireless pair of headphones, you’ll find Bluetooth 5.0 onboard. Its dual 40mm neodymium iron boron dynamic drivers pump out high-quality audio. There’s AptX low latency for distortion-free listening and seamless video watching. With its built-in battery, you’ll appreciate up to 30 hours of playback time. And a quick charging feature means you won’t have to wait for a full charge.

Clocking in around 300 grams, the Mixcder E10 is a bit heavy, albeit not uncomfortably so. Both ear cups are covered in memory foam with fake leather. Likewise, the headband is comprised of metal and plastic with a lining of faux leather and memory foam. On the left ear cup, you’ll find a micro USB port for charging. The right ear cup features an ANC button to toggle on active noise cancellation, a power button, forward and back buttons for skipping tracks, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired listening.

Build quality is incredibly impressive. Despite its budget pricing, the Mixcder E10 sports a premium feel. The faux leather avoids a cheap touch, and despite its girth, the E10 cans remain comfortable after hours of use.

Mixcder E10 ANC Wireless Bluetooth Headphone Performance

When it comes to performance, the Mixcder E10 ANC Bluetooth cans really shine. Without noise cancellation on, the Mixcder E10 still manages to block out a decent amount of ambient noise. That’s largely because of its fairly snug yet comfortable ear cups. I was pleasantly surprised by ANC performance. Active noise cancellation works surprisingly well. Admittedly, ANC functions better on high-end units like the Bose QuietComfort 35 II. Of course, you’ll spend almost four times as much on a pair of Bose QC 35 II headphones.

While noise cancellation on the E10 doesn’t completely block out all ambient noise, it significantly reduces nearby sounds. At my co-working space, a conversation across the table was reduced to what sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks, or a helium-affected voice. With music pumping at a moderate level and ANC turned on, most ambient noise was completely drowned out.

The overall soundstage is pretty solid. On the low-end, bass is clear, balanced, and not overpowering. Though the 40mm drivers can certainly bump, the Mixcder E10 are refreshingly not bass-heavy. “X” by Kendrick Lamar off the Black Panther soundtrack proved punchy with deep bass that remained composed, allowing the vocals to shine. Mids are smooth and detailed. Treble is relaxed and sparkly. “Friend of the Devil” by the Grateful Dead managed its layered guitars and perky vocals preserve their detail extremely well. “Boom Boom” by John Lee Hooker retains a well-defined, punchy warmth.

If you’re looking for a high-performing set of cans with active noise cancellation, the Mixcder E10 are absolutely stunning. I enjoyed the mid-range build quality, included accessories, and modest price tag. Performance is where the E10 impress. Pleasingly genre-agnostic, the Mixcder E10 offer punchy lows, buttery smooth mids, and bright highs. ANC works well. I’d have preferred some sort of audio notification letting me know that ANC was on. As is, there’s no way to tell. With excellent sound reproduction, stellar construction, and shockingly good active noise cancellation, the Mixcder E10 are easily the best budget noise-canceling cans on the market, even competing with the likes of mid-range ANC headphones like the Panasonic RB-M700B or Cowin E8.
