BlitzWolf Bone Conduction Headphones Review Verdict

BlitzWolf Bone Conduction Headphones Review - BW-BTS6 Review

If you’re looking for a well-made pair of bone conduction headphones that won’t break the bank, the BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 are a fantastic option. The headset is lightweight yet durable, and its neckband/earhook style is barely noticeable when worn. I was extremely pleased with the comfort and fit of the BW-BTS6. In my testing, the BlitzWolf bone conduction headphones remained perfectly cozy even after several hours of use. I had no issue pairing the BW-BTS6 with my phone, tablet, and PC over Bluetooth.

Audio quality is great, especially for the price. There’s good bass response with punchy mids and highs. Everything I threw at the BlitzWolf bone conduction headphones sounded great, from music ot podcasts. In addition to music playback, call sound crystal clear, and in my experience, the built-in mic works wonderfully as well. As such, you can use the BW-BTS6 for conference calls.

Battery life is pretty solid at around 5 hours of continuous use. I appreciated the open-ear design. Bond conduction technology with an earhook style that eschews in-ear buds allows you to listen to music while still hearing surrounding noises. This makes the BW-BTS6 perfect for running, cycling, and other activities where it’s important to remain situationally aware.

IPX7 waterproofing is a nice touch. I went running with the BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 several times and had absolutely no issues, even with the headset drenched in sweat. With its water resistance, the BlitzWolf are a solid set of bone conduction headphones for working out.

Unfortunately, I did experience some sound leakage. Unlike the AfterShokz Trekz Titanium bone conduction headphones, the BW-BTS6 do let audio out so you can hear music playing while you’re holding the headset itself. It’s not too noticeable but is worth noting. Instead of a proprietary charger, a common connector such as USB-C would have been nice. Nevertheless, the BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 are a fantastic wallet-friendly pair of bone conduction headphones that won’t break the bank.

BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 Audio Performance

BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 Review - Right SIde

Audio quality on the BlitzWolf bone conduction BW-BTS6 headphones is solid. Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit C” is plenty bass-filled with hard-hitting drums but crisp vocals. “X” by Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and Saudia bumped with ample low-end without muddying vocals over top. Bass-heads may be a bit disappointed, although that’s true for nearly all bone conductive headphones.

“Friend of the Devil” by The Grateful Dead oozed with stellar delineation of its guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. John Lee Hooker’s “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” rang crystal clear. Hooker’s warbly singing is evident with drums, keys, bass, and guitar all equally weighted. There’s a nice balanced soundstage.

Vocals are crystal clear. Podcasts are enjoyable with clean, crisp voice tracks. Likewise, calls sound great. You can easily use the BW-BTS6 for making calls and teleconferencing.

Should You Buy the BlitzWolf BW-BTS6?

BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 Review - Left Side

The BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 are a good value set of bone conduction headphones. Audio quality is great with shockingly decent bass performance alongside pleasant mids and highs. Its open-ear design, neckband style, and lightweight makes the BW-BTS6 extremely comfortable, even after hours of use. There’s good battery life and excellent build quality. What’s more, its low price tag makes the BW-BTS6 a compelling purchase.

Unfortunately, there is somewhat noticeable sound leakage. You can hear audio playing even with the headphones in your hand. It’s not too bad with the BlitzWolf on your head, but the bone conductive technology isn’t as refined as premium (and pricier) headsets. Additionally, the proprietary charger is slightly disappointing. I’d have preferred a standard charging port such as USB Type-C.

Nevertheless, it’s tough to complain about the BW-BTS6 particularly for the price. At around $33 USD, the BlitzWolf bone conductive headphones boast superb built quality, solid audio capabilities, and an attractive price tag. Ultimately, if you’re looking for a good, cheap pair of bone conduction headphones, the BW-BTS6 are a wonderful wallet-friendly solution.

Overall, there’s a lot to like about the BlitzWolf BW-BTS6 bone conduction headphones. IPX7 water resistance makes the BW-BTS6 one of the best budget bone conduction headsets for running, cycling, and outdoor adventuring. Sound leakage could be improved a bit and the proprietary charging port isn’t ideal. But with outstanding bang-for-your-buck, the BW-BTS6 are value-packed bone conduction headphones.
