Although plugging in a charging cable is easy enough, wireless chargers add a much-needed convenience to keeping your gadgets charged up. I keep a Qi wireless charger plugged in on my nightstand so that I can simply plop my phone down at night instead of fumbling in the dark for a charging cable. Essentially, the Vissles 3-in-1 wireless charger is a standard Qi-enabled device for juicing up Android handsets and iPhones. Unlike the vast majority of Qi wireless charging pads, the Vissles offers a wide footprint that’s capable of holding several gadgets. For instance, you can plunk down compatible phones, smartwatches, or earbuds instead of using an array of cables. What’s more, the Vissles charger lets you use one pad for up to three devices. It can deliver up to 10W of power, and works with phone cases less than 3mm thick. A built-in LED indicator light easily lets you know if your devices are charging properly. There’s a magnetic module for AirPods featuring a magnetic tip with a lightning plug on one end that lets you magnetically connect an Apple AirPods charging case to the Vissles unit. Likewise, there’s a USB-C variant for compatibility with USB-C powered Qi-enabled devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy Buds. The entire charging pad operates plugs into a standard, and included, USB-C cable. Although an Apple Watch charger doesn’t come packaged, you can slot one in by prying the Vissles pad apart, snaking Apple Watch cable through pre-set holes, and nestling into the round hole where the LED indicator is.

Hands-on With the Vissles 3-in-1 Wireless Charger

I’ve got a few different Qi wireless chargers, but the Vissles may be my new daily driver, earning the coveted nightstand spot. Construction is pretty basic, with a glossy ABS plastic clamshell design housing a Qi charger. Yet it doesn’t look cheap. Instead, the slick finish coupled with its LED indicator ring and glowing LED magnetic holder for headphones lends the whole unit a premium vibe. Its larger footprint does take up more tabletop space, but adds the convenience of charging multiple devices simultaneously. As such, this reduces physical clutter, negating the necessity to maintain a jumbled mass of tangled charging cables.

My Samsung Galaxy S9+ charged just fine, and faster than my other Qi pads. While I don’t have an Apple Watch, I did pop the bottom of the Vissles unit off and snaking an Apple Watch charger through the bottom should prove easy enough. I enjoyed the addition of magnetic charging heads for both USB-C and Lightning port-enabled devices. With its three charging areas, the Vissles can juice up an Apple Watch, Android or iOS handset, and a set of truly wireless earbuds such as AirPods, Galaxy Buds, or other wireless earbuds with USB-C and Qi onboard.

Omission of an Apple Watch charger is curious. Sure, you can easily add in your own, but if you do, that takes away its portability. If you take a trip, you’ll therefore need to bring the Vissles with you, remove the Apple Watch charger, or simply pick up an extra Apple Watch charger. Still, it’s not a deal-breaker. The dual magnetic tips, one sporting USB-C and the other with a lightning port, lends versatility to the Vissles since you can charge AirPods or non-Apple headphones. While earbuds with USB-C and Qi wireless charging aren’t terribly prevalent, the Vissles remains future-proofed for when more hit the market.

Should You Buy the Vissles 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad? – Final Thoughts

I’m pretty impressed with the Vissles charging mat. It’s reasonably-priced and boasts a wider feature set than most Qi wireless chargers. Whereas many standard Qi charging pads only have room for one gadget, the Vissles can take up to three. Functionality with both Android and iOS devices plus, the ability to charge Apple Watches and earbuds makes this a well-rounded, versatile Qi wireless charger. If you’re in the market for a wireless charging stand, the Vissles 3-in-1 pad is a solid option. And even if you’ve already got a Qi charger or two, it’s still worth picking up for its increased utility and multi-device charging capabilities.
