Kodak Infinio F882 Smart Home Security Camera System Overview
Since the age of film photography, Kodak solidified itself as an image quality heavyweight. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Kodak continues offering superb digital photography and video cameras. Its smart home lineup includes baby monitors, a cloud portal, air purifiers, and smart security cameras.
The Kodak Infinio F882 is consists of two cameras alongside a base station. Both cameras boast a native 1080p full high-definition (HD) resolution and wide-angle 120-degree lens. A night mode provides crystal clear video even in the dark.
Although the camera hub requires a wall socket, the smart home cameras themselves are completely wireless. A long three-month battery life means infrequent recharges. Just four hours of charge time yields 90 days of usage. There’s IP65 weather-sealing for protection from the elements. The companion app (available for Android and iOS) lets you automatically record video when there’s movement or view a real-time video feed.

Kodak Infinio F882 Review Verdict: A User-friendly, High-quality Smart Home Surveillance Camera
The Kodak Infinio F882 is an excellent connected security camera system. Set up and installation is a breeze. Simply hook up the hub to your router or modem, pair the F882 cameras, download the app for Android or iOS, and you’re ready to go. Video quality is outstanding with crisp, clean native 1080p viewing and recording.
I appreciated the inclusion of an 8GB microSD card. While many users probably have a stack of microSD cards sitting around, you don’t even need to install storage. Instead, the Infinio F882 is pretty plug-and-play. Its night mode worked well for capturing footage in the dark. IP65 water-resistance afforded peace of mind for year-round outdoor installation.
Its included mounting hardware works well. In my testing, I was impressed with the long wireless range as well as outstanding battery life. My Kodak Infinio F882 cameras had no issues communicating with the base station despite being situated far from the hub.
The Kodak smart home camera app is a breeze to use, but packs a bevy of different customization options. For instance, you can set the motion sensitivity, toggle on night mode, enable or disable motion-sensing recording, and more. With its responsive 10m motion detection, the Infinio F882 is pretty competent. However, if you find that it’s a bit too sensitive and you’re constantly recording clips of your dog, you can dial it down.
Though IP65 water-resistance is great, IP68 would have been better. Presumably, you won’t dunk your smart home security camera into a bucket of water, so IP65 splash-proofing should be fine versus IP68 water-proofing. Still, for users in wet climates prone to flooding, additional weather-proofing could come in handy. Likewise, the hub is limited to slower 2.4GHz wireless, and faster 5GHz connectivity would have been preferred. Granted, 2.4GHz is pretty common among most smart home hubs. And unfortunately aren’t many integrations with different Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems such as Samsung SmartThings.
Nevertheless, the Kodak Infinio F882 is a wonderful smart home surveillance camera bundle. Because of its superb video quality, user-friendly design, and affordability, it’s a good value smart security cam solution.
Kodak Infinio F882 Design and Build Quality
The Kodak Infinio F882 Wi-Fi smart security camera kit consists of two main components: a hub and cameras. Its hub is emblazoned with the Kodak logo on the front. On the top of the bub, you’ll find an LED indicator light.
Around back, there’s an Ethernet jack, micro USB power port, microSD card slot pre-loaded with an 8GB microSD card, and a reset button.
The front of the camera sports a lens, microphone for two-way audio, an LED indicator light, a PIR motion sensor, and light sensor.
Underneath the camera, a rubber flap conceals an on/off switch, reset/pairing button, and micro USB charging port. There’s also a mounting screw hole that’s compatible with the included installation hardware brackets.
Around back, there’s a speaker for two-way audio.
Kodak Infinio F882 Image and Video Quality
Image quality is spectacular. Kodak’s Infinio F882 captures and broadcasts crisp native 1080p full HD images. Despite its hub’s 2.4GHz wireless networking, I found buffer-free live video streaming using the Kodak Smart Home app. In addition to its superb picture quality, the Infinio F882 provides solid two-way audio with its onboard speaker. While there’s no 4K video capture and the speaker isn’t super powerful, for a smart home security camera, the Kodak Infinio F882 more than delivers.
Kodak Infinio F882 Android and iOS App Experience
To communicate with the Kodak Infinio F882 exterior security systems, you’ll need the accompanying app for Android or iOS. The Kodak app experience is fantastic. I enjoyed the mix of user-friendly access along with ample customization. For example, you can easily set the motion sensitivity, enable and disable two-way talkback, turn on or off night vision, and even set a schedule for motion detection.
While the Infinio F882 is pretty much usable out-of-the-box, you can tailor various recording settings for manual control or smart home automation. In-app video quality is gorgeous, and it’s simple to add new devices such as cameras or other Kodak smart home products.
