For instance, you could save a handful of films and shows to watch on your tablet while on a plane and thus watch anywhere even without Wi-Fi or mobile Internet.
Of course, lots of apps including Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video offer offline download capabilities in-app as well, but DVDFab Downloader lets you watch across your entire range of devices as well as in your app of choice such as VLC media player. On that note, DVDFab Downloader All-in-one is completely legal. It doesn’t provide any pirated content. And saving a recording for offline viewing then deleting it after you’re finished, so long as you maintain your subscription to that streaming service, seems like a no harm no foul sort of situation (reminder: we do not condone piracy, so please record responsibly).

I’ve got a sizeable library of movies and TV shows that I’ve either purchased or redeemed as a free digital copy along with a Blu-ray. While it’s easy enough to stream, I still like having a copy protection-free version on my Plex media server. With DVDFab Downloader All-in-one, I was able to backup my collection of digital movies and shows, then drop those on my home media server.
Moreover, its 1080p resolution, 5.1 surround sound support meant that recorded files came out looking and sounding great. I’ve also used PlayOn to achieve a similar feat. And while PlayOn features a larger selection of compatible streaming services, recordings are limited to 720p and 2.0 channel stereo. As such, DVDFab Downloader is a superb option for creating DRM-free video backups of movies from various streaming platforms for offline viewing.
Download speeds vary. If you watch in real-time, then DVDFab Downloader All-in-one will complete recording in the same length as the film. So a two hour movie will take two hours to finish recording and rendering. Still, there’s a high speed option which doubles the playback speed. Alternatively, certain services such as Amazon allow you to save a copy of a movie without streaming. I was able to save a copy of my Amazon Prime-purchased 1979 “Alien” in 1080p, 5.1 surround sound in three minutes.
Aside from its video download capabilities, DVDFab downloader lets you save YouTube videos to MP3. I’ve long searched for a copy of the soundtrack to 1978’s “The Legacy” which tragically has never been released for purchase.
