Hands-on With the ClonerAlliance Flint D4P
The ClonerAlliance Flint D4P is a fantastic capture card for streaming with the likes of Twitch as well as recording video gameplay. Onboard, the Flint D4P includes a picture-in-picture (PIP) chip as commonly found in TVs. As such, it’s a great solution for gamers using PCs or consoles such as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. There’s a bundled IR remote control for ease of use when changing inputs.
I tested out the ClonerAlliance D4P with gaming using both my PlayStation 3 and a gaming PC. Even in fast-paced online games such as Diablo III or Counter-Strike, I noticed no lag. Driver-free cross-platform support is completely plug-and-play. In a matter of minutes, I was able to record videos using the Flint D4P on my Windows PCs as well as a Linux laptop. Being able to record from two different 4K sources simultaneously is incredibly useful.

Especially since the Flint D4P demands its included remote to function, a pair of batteries in the box would be a nice touch. Still, the ClonerAlliance Flint D4P is a spectacular capture card that handles low-latency gaming and allows for overlays without the need for external software.
